Amusement park and fair copy

[EDNOTE. This post, submitted earlier by Sergei Soloviev, was held up for delivery over the weekend. Sorry about that -- SES]

I do not see any quoted passage below that would explain the
presence of the phrase about "loud amusement park" in the Foreword.
I used the expression "Fair Copy" exactly because it is used by Kinbote to
explain the state of manuscript of "Pale Fire". I asked
whether the text of the Foreword itself can be considered
as a "Fair Copy". (I.e., ready to be sent to editor.)
Of course it is possible to derive
that the "loud amusement park"
is supposed to be where Kinbote is writing the commentary
(Cedarn, Utana...), but the phrases about this amusement
park should not be included in a normal Foreword. So, they
were not "edited out". It is also difficult to believe that
they existed only in imagination of somebody, but a delusional
person may not "edit them out" if they were on paper.

Best,

Sergei
