Dear Don and Sam,
How sad - - this wonderful exhibit is making only three stops in the U.S. It
started in Omaha (yes, the one in Nebraska), then to the Wiseman in
Minneapolis, last stop Portland, Oregon.
There is one consolation - the catalogue of the exhibit is available in
hard back for only $30, and for those interested in Diaghilev's Ballets
Russes, there is currently showing a documentary on the post Diaghilev
Ballets Russes de Monte Carlo. For balletomanes it's two hours of heaven,
and even for others, a glorious treat.
Carolyn
p.s. UCLA used to have a complete set of the Diaghilev periodical, Mir
Iskusstva. But the last time I requested one, they only had photocopies.
Very sad.
