I suggest that the "p" should be ash-gray and never "surd" ( as shown in
your apt Scouse quip: "Is the pee silent in empty tin bucket?")
Still, even my wildest delirium cannnot mutate, like it happens with
"ass/asinine" or "pork/porcine", Pnin's "apish" upper-lip into
anything
"apenine"...
PS: My apish mistakes go on and on. When I described Liza's "Paris
dove-grays" I meant Mira's. When I wrote about Pavel Pnin's "cavity" I
should have spelled it "calvity" (baldness). Sorry, again. I'm very
unreliable when quoting from memory or in spelling.
