EDNOTE. My good friends Victor Fet and Alexey Sklyarenko have tactfully pointed
out that I confused the cognate terms "yagoda/yagoditsa" Properly, "yagoditsa"
means "buttocks", while "yagoda" means "berry" (as well as being the name of
the head of Stalin's secret police in the thirties).
