I know little about SF but am definitely going to
order up Ilium, as I find the juxtaposition of the
plains of Troy and Ardis Hall intriguing. Though
the length (570 pp), weight (2.2 lbs), and
prospect of a sequel (Olympos, due out in July)
did give me pause, even with beach season approaching.

Over the years some important articles on Nabokov
have appeared in the journal Science Fiction
Studies, including:

Nicol, Charles. "Nabokov and Science Fiction:
'Lance'" Science Fiction Studies, March 1987,
14(1):41, 9-20.

Roy Arthur Swanson. Nabokov's Ada as Science
Fiction Science Fiction Studies # 5 (Vol 2, Part
1) March 1975

Field, David. "Fluid Worlds: Lem's Solaris and
Nabokov's Ada." Science Fiction Studies, Nov.
1986, 13:40, 329-344.

Now, Tom -- if you intend to pass off The
X-Crystals as literary fiction, hadn't you better
do something about that title?
