To the List,

Akiko's mystery actress is probably Joan Caulfield. The only clue was the
initial C of the last name in the signature on the photograph. Joan
Collins is a brunette and this actress bears no resemblance to her.

Here is an interesting short biography:

Caulfield (1922-1991), born Beatrice Joan Caulfield, June 1, 1922, West
Orange, New Jersey; died June 18, 1991, Los Angeles, California (cancer);
American stage and screen actress; former model; married to producer Frank
Ross 1950-60; film career from 1945: "Monsieur Beaucaire" 1946; "Blue
Skies" 1946; "Dear Ruth" 1947; "The Lady Says No" 1951; "Cattle King" 1963;
"Pony Express Rider" 1976.

The marquee for the movie, "Dear Ruth" announcing William Holden and Joan
Caulfield was J. D. Salinger's source for his character Holden Caulfield in
"Catcher In The Rye."

To confirm the identity of the actress please see the following items

If the links don't work, just go to eBay.com and search for Joan Caulfield.
All photos show her distinctive eyebrows on an otherwise standard issue
Hollywood starlet face.
