Dear All,

Some of you might remember the photo (courtesy of Eric Favre) I sent to N-L
two years ago.

Could VN have seen the photo sometime before/while working on TT? The dog is
not a spitz and it does not look so melancholic, though. ("The lady, when
she voyaged herself, generally took with her a small animal, choosing from
among those that were most melancholic" Ch. 25).

From Tom Bolt (Sent to N-L: Saturday, September 07, 2002):

"First Punic interpretation:

If this spitz wakes up and begins to yap, does he become Amilcar
barker?"

Best wishes,
Akiko
