Subject: museum website et al

Dear list members,

Please accept our deepest gratitude to those of you who have supported or
plan to support the Nabokov Museum.
Many of you sent donations to our charity organization and we are
immensely grateful for your help. The museum is working, we have visitors
every day and we have plans for the future. Those of you who are interested
in the Nabokov 101 summer school will see the announcement before the end
of this week when all the people involved in the program finalize their
plans
Meanwhile, we have received an urgent warning from
Dr. Dieter Zimmer re the museum's former web address (please see the
details from Dr.Zimmer's letter below). It seems the
www.nabokovinrussia.org address has been seized by some Internet
gangsters. The content of the site has nothing to do with Nabokov. The new
owners, whoever they are, were probably assisted by our former hosting
company that suddenly demanded a lot more money for their services than
was agreed. Exactly because of those murky dealings we have moved our
official website to another address and another host. Our address is
www.nabokovmuseum.org The site is there, you can look it up any time and
it'll stay there permanently. I just didn't have enough time to add the
news but I promise to do so in the very near future.
Again, thank you all for your support.

Nabokov Museum, St.Petersburg
