For those in the New York City area, the game (kubb version) is apparently played in McCarren Park, Brooklyn (Greenpoint/Williamsburg) on Sundays. If anyone is interested, let me know; I am trying to find out more.

By a fantastical coincidence, I came across a gorodoshyi kort (a court for playing gorodki), probably the only one in the city, in a rather secluded garden, on my way back from the library yesterday. A lone player was practicing the throws. best,Alexey
