------------------ Olá, from Brazil
Seesaw was simply translated as "gangorra" ( the word in Portuguese for this
plaything ). The translator, Sonia Moreira, also chose to substitute the
word "balanced" by "contrabalançar" ( counterbalanced?),thus emphasizing the
sense of "equilibrium". This helped me to dwell on the image of the seesaw
as an object that looks like those old weight scales that carry two dishes
on every extremity ( the past in one dish, the future in another ).
