EDNOTE: I and co-editor Galya Diment have been running NABOKV-L for over ten years as a service to the International Vladimir Nabokov Society and to Nabokovians world-wide. Over the years it has required a good deal of time and effort. There are days, I confess, when I wonder if that effort is justified. We rarely hear from the clientele -- apart, of course, from those much appreciated souls who submit materials. In light of this, NABOKV-L is very pleased to pass on this note of thanks from Moscow film maker and man-of-letters Oleg Dorman to Walter Miale and NABOKV-L.

I'd like to expess my gratitude to Mr. Walter Miale for his invaluable and generous help in my translation of Woody Allen short stories. Mr.Miale answered to my call published in Nabokv-L that is why I want to thank him in public and also to thank you and the List. The book "Shutki Gospoda (The Jokes of Lord)" is now in all major Russian bookstores and it would be absolutely impossible without dear Mr. Miale and the Nabokv-L. Spasibo!
