I wonder why nobody mentioned Ian McEwan. There was a very enthusiastic
review of his last novel "Atonement" at Amazon.com, the author of which
claimed that Vladimir Nabokov would have liked the book. I, for my part,
would advise to read "Amsterdam" (a Nabokovian thing, to my mind).
