Many years ago I wrote an article on "aesthetic bliss" as worked out in
LOLITA, called "In Search of Aesthetic Bliss: a rereading of Lolita." Since I
quote many of the relevant passages from Nabokov's fiction and from SPEAK,
MEMORY, it too might be useful. It appeared in the journal College Literature
in 1975 (long time ago!).
