there is a new production of LOLITA playing right now in Milano (Piccolo
Teatro, tel: (39)02 72 333 222) until 4th March. The director, Luca
Ronconi,
draws upon Nabokov's original screenplay - which explains the enormous
length (4hres and a quarter)- but also brings into play imaginative
theatrical techniques which seem to make it a worthwhile venture,
according
to the article I read in Le Monde yesterday (thursday 1st Feb).
All the best,
Lara
