Unless I have missed it, while we're on this thread, nobody
seems to have mentioned that G. Barabtarlo on page 152 of his
_Phantom of Fact_, in the course of a note on p 86 line 16
of _Pnin_ citing "Bohemian Sea..." therein, adduces not only
Shakespeare's _Winter's Tale_, and derived therefrom a passage
in Sterne's _Tristram Shandy_, the Sherlock Holmes tale, "A
Scandal in Bohemia", and cites Andrew Page, "Vladimir Nabokov:
In Tribute to Sherlock Holmes," in _Baker Street Journal_ 24.1
pages 12-24. I have not followed up this latter citation.
