No argument from me about the relative merits of this film and Lyne's LOLITA
(I agree, really) -- but I do wonder why our films' directors' names are
suffering such dreadful misspellings, Fassbinder having no "t", Skolimowski
only one "w." Just for the record.
On an only slightly off-list topic, Mr. Kubrick has certainly come a cropper
this time. Poor Schnitzler: from the Max Ophuls versions to the current crop
is quite a descent.
