I searched reviews and other web sites, and here are a couple of
other references that link "AB" and Lolita that I have found so far:

"When Lester sees his Lolita in a high-school cheerleading routine and
overhears her describing him as hot, the floodgates open: He quits his
job, gets high, buys a new car, cranks up the rock 'n' roll and starts
telling the blunt, unmediated truth." (By Edward Guthmann; San Francisco
Chronicle, September 17, 1999)

(Interview conducted by Amazon.com with the author of the screenplay, Alan
Ball. The reference to Lolita comes not from him but from whoever edited
the interview):

"Alan Ball: Lester's a man who in midlife has completely lost his passion
about living, as do many people who have mind-numbing corporate jobs. And
he knows that he needs to get back in touch with that passion, and Angela
[his daughter's Lolita-like girlfriend, played by Mena Suvari] is the
catalyst for that."

On the Amazon.com site there is also a list of five favorite books of
both the movie's British director, Sam Mendes, and the screenwriter
and co-producer Alan Ball. No Nabokov there.

If someone finds other references, please let me know. I actually have
"academic" use for them -- not just idle curiosity. I am writing a talk on
"'Signs and Symbols' of VN's Legacy" -- and this appears to be a fairly
clear one. Thanks!
