Complementary information: with all the respect due to Erik Orsenna, I
don't know how he considers translataors, since in his novel DEUX ETES he
uses some of my translations (VN letters) without ever mentioning either
editor, translator or publisher anywhere in the book. When it was first
published in France, I drew the publisher's attention to this: they replied
they were quite convinced everything was done as it should. But in the end,
they discovered all the rights were flouted and finally managed to get this
information to be added in all further editions (if any...).
So as we say in French: faites ce que je dis, mais ne faites pas ce que je
fais...
