One of the most prestigious literary magazines in China 'Dangdai Waiguo
Wenxue'(Modern Foreign Literature) - No 4 1998 came with 'Signs and
Symbols' translated into Chinese by Wei Jian Hua. The issue also has VN's
picture on the front cover.
At the end of the story there is a short note about the writer: place, data
of birth and death, also mentioned 1945 year (in the context of getting
American citizenship and this is very popular biographical motive in China
about VN) and the novels -- Laughter in the Dark, Lolita, Pale Fire, Ada.
