Greetings Nabokovians!
I'm a Ph.D. student at Penn State University working on Nabokov. Currently
I'm involved with scholars in several disciplines in the organization of a
new group, the Modernist Studies Association.
The recently founded Modernist Studies Association is devoted to the study
of the arts in their social, political, cultural, and intellectual contexts
from the later 19th- to the mid- 20th century. The principal aim of the
Modernist Studies Association is to develop an international and
interdisciplinary forum to promote exchange among scholars in this
revitalized and rapidly changing field.
Our first conference will be October 7-10, 1999. Soon we will send out a
timesaver card for the conference. An official conference announcement,
call for panel suggestions and papers, and seminar announcements will follow.
We're developing our mailing list, ao anyone interested in this conference
and organization, please email me contact information.
