Subject
Nabokov and Wittgenstein (fwd)

In the "Gift," Nabokov proudly wrote that one of his close relatives was
a jailer of Dostoevsky. Are there other connections of Nabokovs with
other writers or philosophers, such as, for example, a philosopher Ludwig
Wittgenstein?
>From the latest posting on Nabokov-L I found out that a sister of
Nabokov's grandfather was Princessa Elizaveta Dmitrievna
Sayn-Wittgenstein. Is there any connection to Ludwig Wittgenstein?
Also I remember that a sister of Nabokov, Elena Nabokov, married a man
with the last name Sikorsky. Is he related in any way to a famous
aviator Igor Sikorsky (1889 - 1972)?
Thank you.

EDITOR's NOTE. So far as I know the Sayn-Wittgensteins and Ludwig
Wittgenstein are not related, but perhaps someone out there has more
information. VN mentions Ludwig (presumeably) in _Transparent Things_. In
_Speak Memory_, VN mentions his kinship to Igor Sikorsky.
