To honor Vladimir Nabokov on the occasion of his centenary, PEN American
Center and The New Yorker in collaboration with Vintage Books is planning
a celebratory event at Town Hall, New York City, on April 15th 1999.
Featuring a distinguished group of writers reading from Nabokov selections
and presenting reminiscences and reflections, the evening will encompass
re-interpretations of Nabokov as a literary master of the twentieth
century, as well as offering glimpses of the man behind the words.
Starting Thursday, February 18 tickets will be available from Ticket
Masters, 212-307-4100; and beginning March 26 at The Town Hall box office,
123 West 43rd Street.
Ticket prices: $15 orchestra and boxes; $10 balcony
