The article appeared and they did an excellent job; it was all of page 4 (five
columns) in the Science Section. The headline is "Nabokov's Work, on
Butterflies, Stands the Test of Time", with the sub "eyecatch" subtitles:
"Others have finished, and validated, a key study by the writer", and "As a
taxonomist, Nabokov had a 'good eye'". The article refers to the _Nabokov
Studies_ piece as the key subject of the report.
The photos included one of Nabokov pouring over a proof of butterfly photos; his
drawing of polyommatine wing pattern from Psyche and our photos of M. lolita and
P. humbert. One interview I didn't know about was from Dr. Charles Remington at
Yale University who I guess they talked to re the quality of the bug work. He
was kind enough to say our work on the blues was "high-quality" and "elegant
morphological analysis of the Latin American blues" that no one else has ever
attempted. The article was very "tight" with an awful lot of info. on VN both
literary and scientific.
