The word _oology_ can be found in the Russian translation of _The Real Life
of Sebastian Knight_ (VN. Romani. Moskva, Khudozhestvennaja literatura, 1991,
Ist'innaja zhizn' Sebastiana Najta, translated by A. Gorjanin and M. Mejlakh,
volum 2): "Damu zvali - i zovut - Ol'ga Olegovna Orlova - zhal' bilo bi
pot'erjat' etu oologicheskuju alliteraciju."
The original text: "Her name was and is Olga Olegovna Orlova - an egg-like
alliteration which it would be have been a pity to withhold" (_The Real Life of
Sebastian Knight_, Penguin Books, 1960)
Footnotes were written by by A. Dolinin: "oologia - razdel ornitologii,
izuchajushij ptichi jajca" (pg. 401 of the Russian edition).
[oology is the branch of ornithology studying birds' eggs]
