VN reference in an unexpected place:

WIRED Magazine (ISSN 1059-1028) has a monthly feature called README that
tells us what some of the so-called "digerati" are reading. In the February
issue (p. 111), Peter Neumann (the author of a book titled
_Computer-Related Risks_) mentions that he is currently reading _Ada, or
Ardor_. He says...

"I'm...a big Nabokov fan. I'm working on a new edition of his old
stories. I enjoy his multilingual puns. In the novel, for instance, he
refers to a yellow-blue vase. But in Russian ya lyublu vas means 'I love
you' (with an added jest of the impersonal form of 'you' - reminding me of
Tom Lehrer's joke about receiving a strongly worded letter of endearment,
only to discover it was addressed to 'occupant')."
