There were problems yesterday with posting the following three messages
that I received. I am therefore reposting them today -- and apologize,

FYI --
From Ellen Pifer (epifer@UDel.Edu) who is chairing the MLA "Open
Session" in DC:
The number of the MLA "Open Session" on VN -- is not 687 but #678. But
just giving the correct number is not going to help those (e.g., AATSEEL
members) who aren't members of the MLA and don't have a Directory. The
date of the Open Session, and of the other MLA session listed, is thus
crucial. The session over which I'm presiding takes place on Monday, 30
December. The one over which Eric Hyman is presiding occurs on Sun. Dec.
29.
