In case it has not already been mentioned, S. Schiff's article
about Vera Nabokov appears in this week's issue of the "New Yorker" (10
Fe, 1997).
Ms. Schiff offers a wonderfully witty and insightfull prelude to her
work-in-progress. Anyone who did not have the opportunity to hear her read
this piece at the Mercantile Library during this Fall's series of lectures on
Nabokov, should get their hands on a copy of the magazine.
There is also an advertisement for a forthcoming collection of "New Yorker"
short stories that includes a story by VN.
