EDITOR'S PLAINT

Due to computer and personal overload things have gotten a bit chaotic.
So--if you have sent in NABOKV-L material and have neither seen it on the
list, nor heard from me directly, please resend your posting. Apologies to
any and all of the inconvenienced. On occasion, things are sent out that
don't actually go out due to computer and/or personal foul-ups. I
sometimes have no way of knowing whether things are received unless I get
a response.
I have an appalling number of dissertations and article manuscripts on
hand. I like reading and commenting on these things and in all cases I
have agreed to do so. However, my ambitions tend to exceed my abilities,
and things pile up. I shall get through the stack, but must beg your
patience.
There is some infernal music coming from the amusement park down-canyon.
But, no...a swift check with my binoculars tells me it is a noisy flock of
cedar waxwings foraging on toyon berries. (These cedar waxwings, handsome
though they be, must not be confused with the Bohemian waxwings crashing
into Shade's window. See the Peterson illustrations.)
