References to Robbe-Grillet movies reminds me that a couple of years ago
I saw a film which at the time seemed "Nabokovian." It was "The Double Life of
Veronique" (I do not trust myself to remember the correct spelling of the
director's name).
The theme of the double is the most obvious link (French/Polish rather
than French/Russian) but also the importance attached to specific objects. Any
cineastes out there now of the director's literary influences?
Apologies is this is slightly off-topic.
