The Vladimir Nabokov Society will sponsor a session at the American Literature
Association's annual convention in Baltimore, Maryland, May 26-28. The topic of
the session, which is being chaired by Susan Elizabeth Sweeney, Holy Cross
College, is "Nabokov, Narrativity, Intertextuality." The papers are as follows:

1. "Why Darwin's Car Slid into the Ditch: An Embedded Text in GLORY,"
Charles Nicol, Indiana State University

2. "`These Flickering, Shadowy Doppelgangers': Filmmaking Figured in Nabokov's
Early Work," Douglas G. Baldwin, Yale University

3. "Krazy, Ignatz, and Vladimir: Nabokov and the Comics,"
Clarence Brown, Princeton University
