EDITOR'S NOTE:
A passing thought. There is undoubtedly a lot of miscellaneous
VN-related material on other lists such as rec.arts...etc. I don't browse
these things, but any of you run across interesting material please
forward it to me for NABOKV-L. Don Johnson

No way! He is much too young and much too "cute." It's like casting the
young CARY GRANT to play Humbert Humbert. But knowing Hollywood, it's of
course quite possible that they will simply rewrite the whole thing and
make Humbert and Lolita into young romantic lovers. Lolita's mother,
played by Ann Bankroft of "The Graduate" fame, will seduce the poor
innocent Humbert but he and Lolita will triumph in the end (with Simon
and Garfunkle singing in the background... or just Simon) G.
