Dear Nabokovians: I would be much obliged to anyone who can point me to a
passage that I recall vividly but cannot relocate. A car door slams and
the car drives away, leaving shimmering in the air the outline of the
slammed door. This is not, I admit, so interesting as Browning's door,
but it is interesting to me. Thanks in advance! CB
