Here's a guy in Toronto reading Nabokov chronologically. And
wondering if there's anyone else in the universe doing the
same. Finished Mary June 20, The Eye July 15, The Defence
July 12, King Queen Knave June 29, now half way through
Glory. All I read of him before, and a logn time ago it
was, was Lolita and Pale Fire. Also one or two of his
lectures on literature. Saving the volumes of short
fiction till after finished all the novels, then on to
the rest, in the order as set out in the Vintage editions
which I favour. He once said Proust was the Shakespeare
of fiction. At this point I'd say Nabokov was.

Halfway through Glory,

David W. McFadden
