EDITORIAL NOTE. On Aug. 5, Nabokov bibliographer Michael Juliar called
attention to a NYTBR review of a new book, _Where Bigfoot Walks_, by
Robert Pyle (July 30, 1995). Pyle was reportedly working on a book about
VN and lepidoptera. Juliar queried NABOKV-L subscribers for further
information . Brian Boyd's response is below and that of Robert Dirig,
entomologist and one-time VN correspondent, will immediately follow.

In response to Michael Juliar's queries, Robert Pyle and I are
editing *Nabokov's Butterflies* for Beacon Press. It will
include excerpts from Nabokov's fiction, verse, memoirs,
interviews, lectures, letters, etc., including the unpublished
"Second Appendix" to *The Gift*, to be translated by Dmitri
Nabokov. There should be nearly four hundred pages of Nabokov,
including 200 previously unpublished. Pyle and I each have
an introduction. The book should be published in 1996.
