EDITOR'S NOTE: As a footnote to Sage Hamilton's message below, Roy Johnson
<Roy@mantex.demon.co.uk> remarks that some subscribers may not know that
there was an earlier film version of LAUGHTER IN THE DARK in 1969.
Directed by Tony Richardson, it starred Nicol Williamson (afer Richard
Burton was too drunk to work), Anna Kaena, and Claude Provot. Script by
Edward Bond.
