This is very interesting. You'll find what is probably VN's most protracted
piece on Shakespeare's identity in Bend Sinister (with the caveat that the
conversation is between two fictional characters). It's clear that VN had
made a serious study of the Oxford claims though it's unclear how much
credence he gave them.
