Erminia + Aqua + Marina = Armenia + aquamarine

Erminia was the nickname of E. M. Khitrovo (Kutuzov's daughter), a friend of Pushkin and Vyazemski, the mother of Daria (Dolly) Ficquelmont (born Tiesenhausen). See also my posts on the Erminin twins and Daria (Dolly) Durmanov.

pop - priest
papa - pope

The scrotomoff move is also reminiscent of Jacob's struggle with the angel, in which he prevails, and is henceforth known as Israel, he who has prevailed against el (an early name of god).

Erminin, Marina, Van and many other names and place-names - Arrowroot = Arrarat, for example - refer to Armenia - but why?
