I'm away from my files (for the benefit of you Northern Hemisphere types: at our beach house for our summertime Christmas), but I do mention her (as Magda Nachman-Achariya) in the biography. She drew the portrait of VN reproduced on the cover of the first edition of Glory. I cannot recall correspondence from her, nothing significant, certainly, although there may have been a letter or two. And as I recall VN wrote a review of an exhibition of hers.

I was wondering whether you have met the name of Magda Nachman in conjunction with Nabokov? The time must have been around 1936. She helped him with some library books in Berlin. I am looking for correspondence or any other document. Magda was an artist, on whom I am working at the moment.

Thank you.
